What we'll cover

An honest evening on what really happens if you can no longer decide for yourself.

Most people only think about a Will. But losing mental capacity — through stroke, dementia, or sudden illness — is the gap that leaves families navigating the Court of Protection. In plain English, we'll show you how to close that gap.

1

Stay in control of your money & home

How a Lasting Power of Attorney legally appoints the people you trust to manage your accounts, property, and bills if you cannot — without bank freezes or court delays.

2

Protect your medical wishes

How a Health & Welfare LPA ensures your care, treatment, and end-of-life wishes are respected by the NHS and your family — even when you can't communicate them.

3

Pass on what you've built

Why an outdated or "homemade" Will is one of the most common — and expensive — mistakes, and how to structure yours to genuinely look after the people you love.

Included with your seat

Small bites, refreshments, and a private consultation — all on us.

🍽 Small bites & refreshments

What previous attendees say

"Genuinely useful — and not the sales pitch I expected."

★★★★★

I'd been putting it off for ten years. One evening and finally I understand what I actually need — and what I don't. No hard sell, no jargon.

Margaret W. · Stroud
★★★★★

My husband and I came expecting a sales pitch and got a properly useful evening. The follow-up consultation was the most honest legal conversation we've ever had.

Patrick & Hilary D. · Gloucester

Came out feeling lighter, frankly. We finally know what to do — and we know who to call. Highly recommend going along.

Questions, answered honestly

A few things people often wonder.

Is this really free? What's the catch?
There isn't one. The evening is genuinely free — we cover the venue, the refreshments, and the speaker's time. Our hope is that some attendees will choose to instruct us afterwards for their Will or LPA. Most don't, and that's absolutely fine. There's no pressure to do so on the night or afterwards.
Will there be a sales pitch?
No. The evening is an honest, useful talk on the law and your options. We mention what we do at the end so you know who we are — that's the extent of it. The follow-up consultation is the time for personal questions, in private.
Do I need to bring my partner?
Not at all — but most people find it useful to. Decisions about Wills and LPAs are usually made jointly, and the conversation afterwards is much easier when you've both heard the same information. You can book up to 2 seats per booking.
I already have a Will — is this still relevant?
Almost certainly, yes. Most people who attend already have a Will but don't have Lasting Powers of Attorney — which is the bigger gap. We'll also cover how often Wills should be reviewed (most should be updated more often than people realise) and the common mistakes in DIY or older documents.
How do I cancel my ticket?
Simply reply to your confirmation email or call us — we'll free up the seat for someone on the waiting list. No fuss.
